2023 at INATMAN begins on a Health(y) Note
The girls at INATMAN were off to a brisk start to 2023, by welcoming Dr Rajya Lakshmi Devi.Y, a Phd in Food Sciences and Nutrition, DDM, to a very informative and interactive session on 5th January. Dr. Rajya Lakshmi Devi is also a Sub-Specialist in Nutrition in Obesity and Metabolic Disorders. She is a Clinical Nutritionist, Dietician and an Educator for 18 years. At present she is working as a Nutritionist at KIMS Hospitals, Livlife Hospitals, and Mother To Be, Hyderabad. A talk on health, its varied aspects and how to pursue it on a daily basis were discussed.

Guest lecture and interactive session on 5th January 2023
Dr. Rajya Lakshmi Devi touched upon the constituents of health, including the intellectual and emotional, apart from the physical aspects of overall wellness. She then went on to focus on physical health and how to maintain it. Her talk was simple, direct and practical, thus making it easy for the girls to comprehend as well as articulate their own concerns and have a way to move ahead with simple solutions handy to pursue. Suggestions were given keeping in mind the background of the girls and how they could incorporate and improvise upon their dietary and work-out habits.
The simple, yet effective solutioning to dietary changes is what caught the attention and kept the girls riveted to the talk till the end. She stressed upon the importance and significance of gut metabolism and its role in maintaining good health. The girls could relate to this as it centred around the typical areas of their concern, such as anaemia, sluggish movements and even hair loss. And she overruled the inclusion of sugary habits, junk food inclusions in their diet. She instead encouraged them with easy and non extravagant options of banana, guava and greens. What is more, she also suggested the best time during the day to consume them. Sleep habits and other well being suggestions were also spoken on, before the session opened up for Q & A.
The speaker held the talk in English even though she is well versed in Telugu(the language spoken by most of the girls). That seemed to not matter, as the girls not only followed every word, they went on to ask questions by the galore in the said language. They didn't seem to want the session to end. This proves that the English and Communication Skills classes conducted by the Foundation are a success too.
February 2023 at INATMAN .. Preparation for interviews and exams
Mrs .K.Shailaja Rao is a Soft Skills Trainer and Associate Professor, presently working in Aditya Global Business School, Surampalem, Kakinada. As a soft skills trainer, she has a sound understanding of needed traits for workplace success, and a strong ability to train students in improving those characteristics. Shailaja has years of experience in developing business skills like communication, team work, problem solving, and leadership skills. She has attended many National and International Seminars, and has written and presented papers. She is a motivational speaker and personality development trainer with over 25 yrs of experience in the academic field.

Mrs Shailaja Rao spoke to the girls of INATMAN Foundation on how to ace an interview
On the 14th of February 2023, Mrs Shailaja Rao spoke to the girls of INATMAN Foundation on how to ace an interview and also gave a few pointers on how to prepare for examinations. This is very useful for the girls as some of them are about to go for job interviews in the year 2023. Mrs. Shailaja’s preparation points are going to help them in writing their exams well.
A powerpoint presentation, with simple and workable pointers, showed the way to prepare oneself for an interview. In Fact the very first pointer was on how to “Prep & Practice” for an interview. From going at it with a minimum of 3-4 drafts, researching on the right words to verbalise while backing one’s true strengths, was emphasised with practical examples. She advised speaking about the relevant highlights of one’s personality in a short span of time, for instance what one brings to table as a strength or value to the place of work, instead of simply mentioning name and qualification as a skill. Mrs. Shailaja Rao did not stop at working on the technical aspects alone, she shared expert suggestions on body language, dress code, importance of maintaining balance and not being flustered when at the interview. She rounded the session with how one can impress the interviewer with in depth questions or observations about the organisation, the job role and match it with what one can offer if given the opportunity.
The girls once again, followed up the session with very many questions they had. This included one on how to cover up for mistakes or reply if one doesn't know the answer to the question asked. The sharing of real life experiences of her students, and following it up with ready to go tips, had the girls listening and taking notes ardently.
JULY 2023 at INATMAN .. Life Skills
Dr. Madhavi Majety MD,DNB,MRCPCH (UK) Fellowship in Neonatology
Born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Dr.Madhavi Majety did her MBBS from Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada and MD Pediatrics from Guntur Medical College. She successfully completed DNB in Paediatrics and MRCPCH (UK). In the Year 2022 she completed her fellowship in Neonatology.
The entire academic career of Dr.Madhavi is illustrious. She bagged 14 gold Medals in MBBS for her exemplary performance, which itself is a record achievement in RMC yet to be broken. She was adjudged "The Best Outgoing Student of Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada for the year 1983-84 and also received the prestigious President of India Medal for the year 1984 by Andhra University.
A fine Kuchipudi dancer, an accomplished singer and badminton player, Dr.Madhavi also started Touch, a premium Unisex Spa & Salon in Hyderabad. She loves to spend her time at Vidyardhi, a students' home for the rural children, which was incorporated by a Trust formed by her family.
Life Skills-The Topic
The girls got a chance to sharpen their wits and engage their minds in a very lively interactive session with Dr. Madhavi Majety on 11th July 2023.
After a talk on how to navigate life's challenges while managing a demanding career, how to be happy and successful at the same time while juggling various interests and roles, she moved on to the Q & A session. That sparked interesting conversations on topics ranging from how to be comfortable with oneself, to being happy in what you do, how to stoke self confidence and about Neonatology and Physiotherapy for infants.
That the guest is a lifelong learner shone through. Her candid nature, and sense of comfort in the range of work she indulged in, left the girls aspiring to pursue a path of excellence as well as happiness!
August 2023 at INATMAN… Unite your mind, body, and soul
As part of the mentoring program, INATMAN Foundation had a very enriching and informative session online, with Ms. Priyanka Malkood BE MBA 300 RYT Sivananda Yoga, on the 31st of August 2023.
Ms. Priyanka Malkood lives and teaches yoga in Dubai. She was born in Bangalore, completed bachelors in Engineering degree with Computer Science major in 2010. She then went on to pursue an MBA from Quantic Institute of Management in the US. She has also completed a Teachers Training Course from the Swami Sivananda Institute, Netala, Uttarkashi.
Since then, Priyanka has taught numerous people yoga, pranayama, and meditation.

Priyanka spoke in the google meet presentation about the various forms of yoga, their essence, and meditation techniques. She spoke about Hatha and Ananda yoga methods that will benefit the mental and physical well-being of our students.
According to her, “ Every woman needs a community that supports, uplifts and helps her get better at managing her Mind, Body and Soul. Yoga plays a major role in this. When we breathe mindfully, we unite our mind, body and soul into a single point. Holding our breath brings in Samasthithi or complete balance.”
This blissful session ended with an excellent interactive question and Answer session. Our students asked her and clarified their doubts regarding stress management during exams, how to achieve better concentration while studying, when to eat before practising yoga, skin and hair care etc.
Incorporation Day Special Session 16th November 2023
The Incorporation Day of Inatman Foundation was celebrated on 16th November 2023. It was an honour to invite Ms.Manikya Veena to this special day as the guest speaker. She’s a very accomplished person, at present living in the US, and a major contributor to the Foundation. Her continued support and generosity to the Foundation has a huge impact on the lives of many underprivileged meritorious girl students.
Ms.Manikya Veena
Ms.Manikya Veena is a multifaceted personality. She did her post-graduation from Hyderabad Central University, a Technical Writing course in the US, and worked for several years in different positions. A prolific writer and a polyglot, she has done many courses in writing and languages, including one at the prestigious Stanford University. She is a qualified counsellor, certified from the Criminal Justice System, in San Mateo County, California, and has 20 years of experience in counselling clients dealing with domestic violence.
Ms.Manikya Veena spoke about the importance of asking for help when needed, and giving help to others whenever required. She said one should discover one’s dreams and goals and not be afraid of societal and preconditioned limitations. She said each person is unique and one should not compare oneself with others. She also stressed that one should define success for oneself, and not be dictated by external sources.
The session ended with comments from the students, the founders and the mentor.

As part of the mentoring program, INATMAN Foundation had a much needed and informative session online, with Ms. Archana Challa MBA (ISB Hyd), on 7th March 2024.

Ms.Archana is a customer-obsessed, solution-driven strategy and execution specialist. Her areas of work are in large-scale programs, community engagement, and corporate strategy. A multi-industry sector leader, and entrepreneur in technology, education, ed-tech and entertainment and equipped with an MBA in strategy and leadership from ISB(2023), she is unafraid to learn about new domains and deliver them successfully.
She is passionate about building a quality learning system for all and mentors college graduates with career building skills. She lives in Hyderabad.

The session was well attended where she spoke about the ideal format of a resume, upskilling, and frequently made mistakes. She welcomed inputs from the students via chat messages. After the resume presentation she answered the questions posed by the students and then moved on to the next topic, which is Interview preparation. In this she spoke about preparation before appearing for the interview. They are researching the company, the role value of the position, key achievements and salary expectations. She then pointed out how one should be on the day of the interview, like being on time, wearing suitable clothing, being confident etc.
It was a very interesting session, with questions from the students and insightful answers from Ms.Archana, till the end.
AUGUST 6th 2024 at INATMAN…Dr.Sujatha Rao expounded the concept of IKIGAI ……
INATMAN Foundation had the privilege of having Dr. Sujatha Rao as a guest speaker for the online guest speaker session on the 6th of August 2024.

Dr.Sujatha Rao is the Founder Director of Viridus Social Impact Solutions, and Co-Host of The Workwise Pod. She works as an organisation Design practitioner and lives in Singapore. She was a professor at Azim Premji University, Bangalore. She is a co-founder of Chabee, an organisation focused on providing learning support and scaffolding learning pathways to millions of people in India who are out of formal education and employment to gain their first school and skilling certificates. She was a lecturer/Doctoral candidate at university of Sydney Business School, Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies.
During the session on Passion vs Skill : Balancing both at Work, she spoke about the concept of IKIGAI, the Japanese concept of living a fulfilling life. She conducted the PPT session with great expertise by making it interesting and interactive. She started the session by asking the girl students what a day in 2030 would be like, for them, in their imagination? The girls truly enjoyed talking about their imaginary day in the future. Their responses were very impressive. She continued to explain the four questions one must ask regarding what one loves to do, what she is good at, what can make her money, and what the world needs. And how the answers to those questions pave way to their passion, profession/vocation and mission was explained beautifully by Dr.Sujatha Rao. She concluded this engrossing session by answering the questions from some students. I can say that, It was a very well attended (around 40 students were there) and a much needed session for the girl students of Inatman.
November 16th 2024 at INATMAN…‘Art of Conversation’
On the occasion of the 3rd Incorporation Day of Inatman Foundation a special online session was held with Varun Duggirala on 16th November 2024.

Mr. Varun Duggirala was invited to give a talk on ‘Art of Conversation’, on the occasion of the Foundation’s 3rd Incorporation Day. To the speaker's delight it turned into a Q&A session from the word go. The Inatman students asked Mr Varun Duggirala a varied range of questions. To mention a few, Life's success and its meaning, how to ride the lows, how to walk an argument with calmness, time management and how to hold an interesting conversation and more were all covered well past the session's official closing time. To us at Inatman, the speech held us in rapt attention, for the talk was both interesting and relatable. The long session seemed short because it spoke wisdom with a sense of humour. A combination that was irresistible.
